We Care About Your Pet
Dr. Joe Daley
Dr. Joe Daley graduated from the University of Sydney in 1987 and his passion for providing quality health care and love for animals led him to start the Ark Veterinary Hospital in Roseville in 1996. He also operated a mobile veterinary service before re-establishing the Ark at its current location in Lindifeld. He aquired the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists Pharmacology membership in 1998 and the Surgery Membership in 2003. Joe lives with his wife, four children and their beautiful dogs Wilow and Daisy.
Alex started out at The Ark Vet in 2012 working one day a week through work experience, and now works as a Veterinary Nurse with a Certificate IV in Animal Nursing. Alex spends her free mornings or afternoons with her horse, Diesel, and her two golden retrievers Mia and Bentley – she loves all dogs but will always have a soft spot for golden retrievers!
Lia started at The Ark in 2014 and has become a regular friendly face at reception. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Science at the University of Sydney, and hopes to transfer to Veterinary Science. Lia does not currently have any pets at home, so she loves spending time caring for our boarding cats.
Kim began working at The Ark Vet part-time in 2015. She has completed a Certificate IV in Companion Animals at Ultimo TAFE, and is currently studying Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Kim has bred Golden Retrievers for over 30 years, has successfully competed at all levels of showing, and has won many Best in Shows all over Australia.
Julie is our wonderful groomer. She started working for the Ark in 2014 and has groomed a lot of pets since. She has a background in pet nursing and often assist our vets or nurses. Julie breeds Bangle kittens and Cavoodle puppies. Her house is a little zoo with many dogs, cats, horses, goats, sheep, rabbits and chickens.
Shannon is the latest addition to our wonderful Ark team. Shannon has worked for a number of years as a vet nurse at the largest academic animal hospital in South Africa. She has 3 lovely dogs: Molly, Pablo and Spatch.
Phoebe began working at the Ark as a volunteer in 2012. She is nearly finished a Bachelor of Science at the University of the Melbourne and wants to move on to study postgraduate Medicine. Phoebe works as an animal attendant during the university holidays and when she’s studying or working she spends her time bushwalking and looking after her cat Marmalade (who’s secretly her favourite!), Barnaby the rabbit and six noisy but lovely chickens.
Dianne is the bookkeeper at the Ark. She currently doesn’t have any pets, but loves cates, so a new furry member of her family is definitely in the pipelines!
Sasja started in August 2017 and is responsible for our Marketing and Communications. Sasja has worked over 15 years in marketing and moved a year ago from the Netherlands to Sydney. She is married and has a son and a cat called Daisy, and loves horseriding in her spare time.
