Dr. Joe Daley
Dr. Joe Daley graduated from the University of Sydney in 1987. His passion for providing quality veterinary health care and love for animals led him to start the Ark Veterinary Hospital in Roseville in 1996. Before re-establishing the Ark at its current location in Lindfield he also operated a mobile veterinary service. He aquired the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists Pharmacology membership in 1998 and the Surgery Membership in 2003. Joe lives with his wife, four children and their beautiful dogs Wilow and Daisy.
Dr. Katy Kirby
Katy is born and bred Sydneysider. She graduated from Sydney University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Science (Veterinary) First Class Honours. After working for a few years in Sydney, she has spent the last 2 years locuming throughout the UK. Katy lives in Northern Sydney with her partner and elderly cat, Mitsie.
Alex Vollema – Veterinary Nurse
Alex is one of our wonderful Veterinary Nurses. She started in a volunteer role back in 2012, and has moved into Animal Attendant positions until she became qualified in 2016. Alex lives with her 3 Golden Retrievers – Mia, Bentley and Aston – and Holly the Birman cat. In her spare time, she goes to visit her lovely two horses Chester and Diesel.

Momoka – Pet Groomer
The Ark is very lucky to have the services of some of their highly trained groomers on the Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. This is Momoka who works for us on a Wednesday. She loves all the animals and does a highly skilled job of their grooming.
Natalie Leong – Veterinary Nurse
Natalie is currently studying her Cert IV in Vet Nursing. She lives with four dogs (an Alaskan Malamute, Labrador, Golden Retriever and English Springer Spaniel) and two cats. She loves training her dogs and participates in Obedience and Nosework activities with Pippin the English Springer Spaniel.
Brittany Clark
Bee joined us in November 2019 as our veterinary receptionist. She has extensive experience in the medical reception field but has a passion for animals. Bee will be beginning her studies in Veterinary Science next year and plans to one day run her own animal rehabilitation centre. At home, she has a beautiful red Staffy called Happy and a cheeky cat called Rafiki.
Phoebe Lind – Veterinary Trainee
Phoebe began working at the Ark as a volunteer in 2012. She is nearly finished a Bachelor of Science at the University of the Melbourne and wants to move on to study postgraduate Medicine. Phoebe works as an animal attendant during the university holidays. When she’s not studying or working she spends her time bushwalking and looking after her cat Marmalade (who’s secretly her favourite!), Barnaby the rabbit and six noisy but lovely chickens.
