We Care About Your Pet

Dr. Joe Daley
Dr Joe Daley graduated from the University of Sydney in 1987. His passion for providing quality veterinary health care and love for animals led him to start the Ark Veterinary Hospital in Roseville in 1996. Before re-establishing the Ark at its current location in Lindfield, he also operated a mobile veterinary service. He acquired the Australian College of Veterinary Scientist’s Pharmacology Membership in 1998 and the Surgery Membership in 2003. Joe lives with his wife, four children and their beautiful dogs Willow and Daisy.
Dr. Katy Kirby
Dr Katy is a born and bred Sydneysider. She graduated from Sydney University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Science (Veterinary) First Class Honours. After working for a few years in Sydney, she has spent 2 years locuming throughout the UK, before starting at the Ark in 2018. Outside of work, Dr Katy enjoys bushwalking with her husband and baking with friends. She looks forward to starting her menagerie later this year.

Annie Baldock – Veterinary Nurse

Stephanie Newington – Veterinary Nurse
Stephanie grew up in Tasmania and originally moved to Sydney to pursue a career in media. She began volunteering at the Ark in early 2021 while completing her Certificate III in Animal Studies and joined the team full-time as receptionist in June 2021. Since then she has embraced all areas of general practice nursing, her favourite aspects including senior pet health, nutrition and wildlife care. This year she will continue her studies with the Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. In her free time Stephanie can be found exploring Sydney and its surrounds or relaxing at home with a cup of tea, her partner and their five-year-old exotic shorthair, Ava.

Rayanne Zanatta – Veterinary Nurse
Growing up in beautiful Brazil, Ray has had a lifelong passion for animals. A qualified vet in her home country, Ray worked for two years in a canine veterinary hospital, before traveling to Australia to broaden her horizons and improve her English skills.
She soon fell in love with our wildlife and completed a zookeeping course at TAFE, volunteering at Symbio Wildlife and Koala Park.
Ray joined the team at the Ark in November 2021.

Hollie Blanchard – Animal Attendant
Hollie joined our team in 2020 in the hopes of pursing a career in veterinary medicine. She now studies the Bachelor of Veterinary Biology, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Sydney and is glad to bring many of the skills and experiences she has gained at the clinic into her future study. From a family of multi-generational farmers, Hollie has always had animals in her life and loves caring for both large and small. In her spare time Hollie develops her leadership and teamwork skills as a rugby player, sport coach and tutor. At home her two fluffy puppies – Maddie the spoodle and Millie the groodle – keep her and her family endlessly entertained with their crazy antics.

Sophie Lind – Animal Attendant
Sophie is currently studying a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology/Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Sydney. She has been working with us at the Ark since late 2020 as an animal attendant, gaining lots of hands-on experience. Sophie loves working with large animals, particularly cows, and hopes to one day work at a large animal practice.

Mami Morohashi – Groomer
Mami has over 9 years of experience grooming dogs in Tokyo, Japan. She travelled to Australia and fell in love with our culture, nature and dog-friendly society, so she made the move here permanently to study. Mami is with us three days a week and loves transforming your dogs to look their very best!

Charlotte Gibbs – Receptionist
Charlotte is currently studying film and marketing, although her passion for animals inspired her to come on board as part-time receptionist in January 2022. Charlotte is fur-mum to two rabbits as well as half-parent to her family’s miniature schnauzer, Manny.

Tara Yetsenga – Receptionist
Tara joined us in June 2022 while completing her Bachelor of Science (Zoology and Animal Science) at Western Sydney University, and hopes to commence a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2023 to follow her passion of animal care. In her spare time she enjoys watching movies, playing social sports, and spending time with her family. Tara has loved animals all her life and is currently a fur-mum to a handsome tamaruke called Jesse.
