Comfortable Pet Grooming
Everyone (including our pets!) loves a good pampering, and especially for longer haired breeds, a haircut can make your pet a lot more comfortable during the hot summer and make tick management a lot easier. Our groomer Julie has over 15 years of experience in dog grooming and breeding, and provides an impeccable dog grooming service by appointment on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and a cat grooming service under sedation on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Throughout the week the Ark also offers bathing, blow drying and nail trimming services. Particularly in the summer months, Julie is very popular, so it’s important to book in advance.
To provide your pet with the best quality cut in a relaxed salon environment Julie grooms between 4-6 animals a day, to ensure that even the most nervous pets are comfortable and at ease for their grooming experience.
When does my pet needs pet grooming?
We recommend that long and curly haired breeds are clipped every eight weeks. A regular grooming routine with consistent brushing at home helps keep hair un-matted and in good condition, making grooming a more pleasant experience for your dog. Dense coated breeds such as Samoyeds, Pomeranians, Huskies, Shepherds and Collies should receive a coat strip every 6 weeks to keep them fluffy and reduce shedding.
Fees for grooming vary according to breed, size, quality of coat and clip preferences. We highly recommend booking a time to meet with Julie for a free consultation before your first groom to discuss your pet and your preferences, which can be done on the morning of your grooming appointment.
