The pet surgery
The pet surgery at Ark Veterinary Hospital is equipped with modern anaesthetic and surgical equipment. We ensure your pet’s safety during all surgical procedures. Dr Joe has years of experience in orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. Your pet’s safety is our upmost concern. All vets and nurses scrub up and wear sterile surgical gloves, caps, masks and gowns just as in human surgery.
The practice performs a range of surgical procedures on a daily basis including castration and speying, cruciate repair, lump removal and exploratory surgery to allow your pet to live a happy and healthy life. Oral surgery is also performed to prevent pain from tooth decay, improving your pet’s quality of life.
Our veterinary nurses are always on hand to assist the vet and monitor your pet during surgery and recovery until they are ready to be discharged. Our treatment room is connected directly to the pet surgery, minimising the need for patient transport and reducing stress on the patient before and after surgery.
