Who We Are
The Ark Veterinary hospital is the longest established veterinary practice in the Roseville, Lindfield and Killara area. Our veterinary team has over 30 years of experience in pet care. We are a locally run and owned hospital, conveniently located on the Pacific Highway in Lindfield and offering uninterrupted service to the pet community. Our passionate team of veterinarians and nurses are always ready to meet you and your pet’s needs, giving you and your pet the best possible healthcare experience. We will take care of you pet as it is one of our own.

乔·戴利博士
Dr Joe Daley graduated from the University of Sydney in 1987. His passion for providing quality veterinary health care and love for animals led him to start the Ark Veterinary Hospital in Roseville in 1996.
Before re-establishing the Ark at its current location in Lindfield, he also operated a mobile veterinary service. He acquired the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists’ Pharmacology Membership in 1998 and the Surgery Membership in 2003.
Dr Joe has a special interest in brachycephalic and orthopaedic surgery, ultrasound, and diagnostic consulting. When not at home with his family, Joe can be found fishing, rowing, or having adventure holidays around the world.

凯蒂柯比博士
Dr Katy is a born and bred Sydneysider. She graduated from Sydney University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Science (Veterinary) First Class Honours. After working for a few years in Sydney, she spent 2 years locuming throughout the UK, before starting at the Ark in 2018.
Dr Katy has a special interest in diabetes management, comprehensive oral health assessments, and emergency ultrasound.
Dr Katy spends her time away from work chasing her two rambunctious boys and two adventurous cats.

Dr. Kirsty Gyles
Dr. Kirsty graduated from the University of Sydney in 1988. She began her career in mixed farm practice in rural New South Wales and Victoria, gaining valuable experience before venturing to the UK for further professional growth. Eventually, she returned to the North Shore of Sydney to focus on small animal practice, where she found her true passion.
Kirsty is deeply committed to providing the highest standard of care to her patients and continually expanding her knowledge in the field. Outside of work, you’ll often find Kirsty exploring the Northern Beaches, accompanied by her beloved Springer Spaniel, enjoying stand up paddling and time at the beach.

Annie Baldock – Practice Manager & Veterinary Nurse
Annie joined the team at the Ark in 2020 while she was completing Veterinary Nursing Certificates. She is now a member of the VNCA and a Registered Nurse under the AVNAT Scheme.
Her background is in Marketing & Customer Service, equipping her with essential skills to support Dr. Joe as Practice Manager. You may even recognise her as a member of your local Jazzercise fitness team.
Annie is Mum to two vivacious girls, Bertie and Ellie, and an energetic Cattle Dog X, Morty, her first baby. As a result, she is a self-confessed coffee addict.
Annie has a special interest in comprehensive oral health assessments, preventative care, and management of behaviour and ongoing conditions.

Stephanie Newington – Veterinary Nurse
Stephanie grew up in Tasmania and originally moved to Sydney to pursue a career in media. She joined the Ark team in 2021 while completing her Veterinary Nursing Certificates. Since then, she has embraced all areas of general practice nursing, in which her favourite aspects are wildlife care, preventative dental care, and client education.
In her free time, Stephanie can be found exploring Sydney and its surrounds or relaxing at home with a cup of tea, her fiancée and their three cats: exotic shorthair Ava (affectionately known as “The Squish”) and tabby cats Bubbles and Squeak.

Charlotte McNally – Veterinary Nurse
Charlotte joined the Ark in 2023, after moving to Sydney with her partner. Charlotte grew up in country Victoria and has always had a love of animals, especially dogs. After completing her Certificate III in Animal Studies in 2020, Charlotte is now studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and looks forward to building her skill set.
Charlotte enjoys spending her weekends outdoors with her Italian Greyhound, Balto.

Mami Morohashi – 美容师
Mami 在日本东京拥有超过 9 年的狗美容经验。她前往澳大利亚并爱上了我们的文化、自然和对狗友好的社会,因此她永久搬到了这里学习。 Mami 每周和我们在一起三天,喜欢把你的狗变成最好的样子!

Lily Duczmal – Client Relations
Lily joined the Ark team in November of 2022 while completing her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (majoring in Neuroscience and Animal Health Disease and Welfare). After her first shift at the Ark, Lily knew she wanted to do this for the rest of her life and hopes to commence a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2025.
Lily’s love for animals and helping others is a driving force behind her studies and she is always excited to come to work to see new animals. In her spare time, Lily loves to play sports and hang out with friends and family. At home, Lily has a beautiful Groodle called Naala, who is the love of her life.

Lizzie Backhouse – Client Relations
Lizzie joined the Ark team in August 2022 when she realised the Ark would be a perfect place to apply her love of animals and passion for science. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience at the University of Sydney and loves seeing how the theory comes to practice in the clinic. She loves working as part of a team and is always excited to hear stories from owners about the wonderful lives and personalities of their pets.
Lizzie is a cat mum to three; lovely Claude, evil Xena, and crazy Pickles. She spends her free time playing netball, horse riding, and catching up with friends.

Jess Needham – Animal Attendant
Jess joined the Ark Team at the end of 2022 as an animal attendant/receptionist and has loved it ever since! Having grown up around cats her whole life, she has always had a passion for learning more about our animal companions. Jess loves being able to meet new faces in the clinic and is always happy to lend a helping hand.
She is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and International Studies. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, hanging out with her good friends, and cuddling her two rescue cats Jack and Max.

Hollie Blanchard – Animal Attendant
Hollie joined our team in 2020 in the hopes of pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. She now studies the Bachelor of Veterinary Biology, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Sydney. She is glad to bring many of the skills and experiences she has gained at the clinic into her future study.
From a family of multi-generational farmers, Hollie has always had animals in her life and loves caring for both large and small. In her spare time Hollie develops her leadership and teamwork skills as a rugby player, sport coach and tutor. At home, her two fluffy puppies – Maddie the spoodle and Millie the groodle keep her and her family endlessly entertained with their crazy antics.

Georgie Needham – Animal Attendant

Cheryl – Animal Attendant
Cheryl joined the Ark team in April 2025. She moved to Sydney from Hong Kong at the age of 14 and quickly fell in love with caring for animals after having more opportunities to interact with and learn about wildlife.
Currently studying a Certificate II in Animal Care, Cheryl has a particular interest in wildlife rehabilitation and hopes to pursue a career in veterinary nursing, while continuing to volunteer with rescue and rehabilitation efforts in her spare time. Prior to joining the Ark, Cheryl volunteered for three years at a local cat shelter, gaining valuable experience in companion animal care.
At home, she shares her life with Kashi, a very clever (and a little too spoiled) 7 year old Border Collie; Big Guy, her laid-back bearded dragon; and two new feline menaces, Sweeney and Muffin, who rule the house with chaos and charm.
